Today, as ball mills are increasingly used, we have to pay attention to the care of their sliding bearings, because once the sliding bearings are damaged, it will affect the entire operation process. Today, let us take a look at how to achieve good care of ball mill sliding bearings.

Sliding bearings are bearings that work under sliding friction. The part of the shaft supported by the bearing is called the journal, and the parts matching the journal are called bearing bushes. The layer of anti-friction material cast on the inner surface of the bearing pad in order to improve the friction properties of the bearing pad surface is called a bearing lining. In addition, sliding bearings are generally used in low-speed and heavy-load conditions, or in operating parts where maintenance and lubricating are difficult. Under normal circumstances, when the babbitt alloy tile lining in the sliding bearing is well lubricated, there will be no scratches caused by burning tiles. Unless it is normally worn to a certain thickness and the tile lining and the spherical body cannot be separated well, it will Abrasions appear.

When the ball mill was operating normally, the feeding hollow shaft suddenly became hot. The temperature was very high, reaching more than 200 degrees. The surface of the hollow shaft turned blue. After an emergency stop for inspection, it was found that there was a lot of babbitt alloy at the mouth of the spherical tiles. It was initially determined that the tile surface was Melted by high temperatures. Under the action of friction and pressure, it is brought out of the tile mouth. The inspection found that there were many scratches on the surface of the alloy tile lining. The scratch in the middle was very deep, but the bottom of the scratches and the spherical body were still about two-thirds of the thickness. The reason was analyzed that the temperature of the clinker entering the hollow shaft exceeded High, corresponding to the very high surface temperature of the hollow shaft, which dilutes the viscosity of the lubricating oil and prevents the formation of an oil film. Direct contact between the shaft and the lining causes friction, generates heat, and the temperature rises sharply, melting the surface of the lining, causing scratches. At that time, considering that there were no spare spherical tiles and the production workload was heavy, we decided to repair the damaged tile lining and continue to use it.

The scratches should be cut and polished to make them smooth. On the undamaged surface, relatively regular micro oil grooves should be scraped out to repair the tile mouth. Then, the grinding body and clinker in the slag ball mill are emptied, and the grinding body is manually rotated to grind the tile lining without load. After reaching a certain level, it is linked with the transmission part for no-load test operation. After a few hours, the grinding body and clinker are loaded and the load operation is stopped. After checking, everything returns to normal.

The main feature of the ball mill is that there is an oil throwing groove on the sealing cover, and a gap is milled in the lower part of the oil throwing groove, so that the oil thrown out from the sliding journal can flow back into the sliding bearing box. On the outside of the sliding bearing seal, an outer retaining ring is added to prevent foreign objects from intruding into the bearing box. In a process system, if a piece of equipment fails and is forced to shut down, it will affect the production of the entire system and cause economic losses due to the shutdown. In order to improve the reliability of zinc oxide ball mill operation, PC automatic control is adopted. Its control principle: In the control system, before starting the ball mill, the oil pump must be started first, and the ball mill can be started two minutes later. The two oil pumps serve as backup for each other. When one oil pump fails or cannot supply oil for other reasons, the oil flow signal device has no oil passing through, and the system automatically alarms and starts the backup oil pump automatically. When both oil pumps are in the wet ball mill manufacturer's alarm maintenance state and have not been reset, the oil in the oil storage tank can still be used for the ball mill to continue running for three hours. A temperature sensor is installed on each sliding bearing. When the oil supply is too small or the temperature of the sliding bearing rises to 55°C due to other reasons, the control system will alarm and the ball mill will automatically stop. In this way, the sliding bearing can be protected and time can be provided for troubleshooting.
