1. The counterattack crusher is suitable for both soft materials and materials with very high hardness.
(1) Compared to hammer crushers (where the hammer head is suspended), the rotor of an impact crusher has greater momentum and is suitable for crushing harder materials. Compared to hammer crushers, impact crushers have lower energy consumption.
(2) The plate hammer of the counterattack crusher is fixedly installed on the rotor, which can fully utilize the energy of the entire rotor during crushing, which is beneficial for crushing large pieces of materials. Moreover, the counterattack crusher has a counterattack plate and a larger crushing chamber, and the crushing of materials not only relies on the impact of the hammer head, but also mainly utilizes the repeated impact between materials and the counterattack plate or between materials.
2. The impact crusher can effectively handle materials with high moisture content and prevent blockage of the crusher
(1) Because there are no grates at the bottom of the impact crusher, the particle size of the product is determined by the gap between the impact plate and the hammer head. Therefore, when dealing with materials with high moisture content, it can avoid the phenomenon of clogging the grates when crushing wet materials.
(2) The hammer crusher is equipped with a bottom sieve plate, which increases the possibility of blockage.
3. The wear of vulnerable parts in counterattack crushers is smaller than that of hammer crushers, and the metal utilization rate is higher
(1) The wear of the impact crusher plate hammer only occurs on the side facing the material, and the metal utilization rate of the impact crusher plate hammer can be as high as 45% -48%.
(2) The hammer head of the hammer crusher is in a suspended state, and wear occurs on the upper, front, rear, and side surfaces. Compared to the plate hammer, the wear of the hammer head is more severe, and the metal utilization rate of the hammer head is only about 35%. Moreover, the rotor body itself may also be subject to wear and tear. The bottom sieve plate of the hammer crusher is severely affected by wear and tear, and all the barriers need to be replaced. The work of replacing the sieve plate is also quite complex.
4. The replacement of spare parts for counterattack crushers is simple, and maintenance costs are correspondingly reduced
(1) The frame of the impact crusher is a three part structure, and maintenance operations such as replacing plate hammers, impact plates, and liners can be carried out by simply opening the rear casing of the crusher. Moreover, the components of the impact crusher are highly interchangeable, with a small variety of vulnerable parts, making it easy to purchase and manage spare parts.
(2) There are more than 100 hammer heads in the hammer crusher, and replacing a set of hammer heads takes a lot of time and manpower, with high maintenance and repair costs. Replacing the bottom sieve plate is also extremely troublesome.
5. The impact crusher can conveniently and flexibly adjust the discharge particle size, and the range of discharge particle size adjustment is wide
(1) The impact crusher can adjust the discharge particle size in various ways, such as adjusting the rotor speed, adjusting the gap between the impact plate and the plate hammer, etc.
(2) The adjustment of the discharge particle size of the hammer crusher can only be achieved by replacing the bottom sieve plate.
6. The impact crusher has a high crushing ratio and good particle shape of the finished product
(1) The crushing ratio of the impact crusher can reach over 50, and the particle shape of the finished material is good. Under the impact, the crushed material often shatters along its most vulnerable layer. This selective crushing method results in uniform particle size and a cubic shape, with low content of fine powder and dust. Therefore, it is suitable for situations where cubic particles are needed. For example, the anti-skid pavement of high-grade highways usually uses impact crushers as final crushing equipment to produce concrete aggregates.
(2) The hammer crusher has a small crushing ratio, a high content of needle shaped particles and flakes in the product, a high powder content, low crushing efficiency, and low output.
In summary, high particle size and high humidity are required for the shaping of finished materials, and if the output is large, impact crushers must be used. For small stone factories that process soft rocks and require low output (within 30 tons per hour), and do not have requirements for the particle size of finished products, hammer crushers can be used.
