The working principle of the spiral classifier is based on the different sizes and specific gravity of the solid particles, so the sedimentation rate in the liquid is different.The fine ore particles float in the water to form an overflow, while the coarse ore particles sink at the bottom of the tank and are pushed upward by a spiral to discharge, realizing mechanical grading.This kind of equipment can filter the powder ground out of the mill, screw the coarse material into the inlet of the mill through the spiral sheet, and discharge the filtered fine material from the overflow pipe at the same time.
The spiral classifier is mainly composed of a transmission device, a spiral body, a tank body, a lifting mechanism, a lower bearing (bearing) and a ore discharge valve.The tank body is usually semicircular, welded from steel plate and section steel, with a inlet on the middle side wall, a sand return port on the lower part of the upper end, and a drain valve at the bottom.Spiral shafts are usually made of seamless steel pipes or welded after being rolled with long steel plates. The upper and lower ends are welded with journals, the upper end is supported in a rotatable cross-shaped shaft head, and the lower end is supported in the lower support.
