1. The design of lime rotary kiln specifications should be comprehensively determined according to the requirements for the output of the firing system, combined with the original, fuel conditions, and the configuration of the preheater, calciner, and cooler.
2. The length to diameter ratio (L/D) of the preheater kiln and precalciner kiln should be 11-16.

6. The main motor of the lime rotary kiln should be a stepless variable-speed motor, and an auxiliary drive should be provided. The auxiliary drive should have a backup power supply.
The main component of limestone is calcium carbonate, and the main component of lime is calcium oxide. The basic principle of burning lime is to use high temperature to decompose calcium carbonate in limestone into quicklime which is calcium oxide and carbon dioxide. The process is as follows: limestone and fuel are loaded into the lime rotary kiln and decomposed at 850°C for preheating, and calcination is completed at 1200°C. After cooling, it is discharged out of the kiln. The production of quicklime products is completed. Different kiln shapes have different preheating, calcination, cooling and ash unloading methods. However, several technological principles are the same: high quality raw materials and good lime quality; high fuel calorific value and low quantity consumption; limestone particle size is directly proportional to calcination time; quicklime activity is inversely proportional to calcination time and calcination temperature.
